Eddie’s Aquarium has been servicing freshwater, marine, reef aquariums (ponds too) in homes and offices since 1975. We are fully insured and are available to install standard aquariums as well as design and install custom aquariums and enclosures. If you would love a beautiful aquarium, but without the work, we are here to make your dream come true.

We perform one-time cleanings, tank moves, or we can create a maintenance schedule to suit your needs and budget. Our service area is primarily within a 1-hour drive of our Cohoes, NY location, although we can make exceptions. Services are billed on an hourly basis, plus materials. We can customize a service plan to ensure a consistent rate for regular services.

Our team of service techs are experts in the field of aquatics. We install top quality equipment in a neat and professional manner. If you’re looking for an automated system, we are Neptune APEX certified. Aquarium service requires attention to detail as well as active participation from the client. This may sound daunting, but an open line of communication between the Eddie’s Team and the client is critical to the success and long-term enjoyment of your eco-system. No aquarium with living organisms is self- maintaining. Typically, once a tech is assigned, the same tech will continue to service your aquarium to ensure continuity of care, complete understanding of your system and establish a relationship with you, the hobbyist.

Looking to add something new to your aquarium? Your dedicated tech can send you photos of new and interesting species that are in-stock at our state-of-the-art retail facility and acclimate them into your system at the time of your next service. Or, many of our service clients enjoy visiting our facility to select items to be added to their aquarium at the time of their next visit. We will consult with you to ensure we only bring you specimens that will do well within your system.

We also provide on-site consultations if you are experiencing challenges or want advice on your system.
