Formula for Crystal Clear Pond Water
1. One bunch oxygenating plants per 1-2 square feet of pond surface area. Use Hornwort or Anacharis in pots with gravel only, no dirt.
2. Floating plants to cover 25-50% of the surface. Lilies, Hyacinths, Water Lettuce, etc.
3. Adequate filtration and circulation. Ponds should be turned over once every two hours at a minimum.
4. Regular addition of beneficial bacteria. Biological Clarifier, Fritz Zyme, Microbe Lift, etc.
5. Not more than one inch of fish per square foot of pond surface area. Remember fish do grow.
